Anise Tatlin

Background
Anise was adopted into a muggle family near Frankfurt, Germany. She didn’t care that she was being raised by other people; the important thing was that they love her. Since their family was so poor, everyone in the family had to work including Anise and thus, forcing her to grow up into adulthood early in life. Although her parents said that she doesn’t need to do such a thing, she still wants to help her parents. At the age of 10, she tried to work for a company in her city and failed because she was too young, which caused her to be even more determined to find a job. Eventually, she found one. She worked for a pastor named Mohs in the church. She hated the man with a passion but the only thing that made her stay was because no one would hire her and a boy named Ion, an orphan.

At first, she couldn’t believe how oblivious and naïve the boy was but she learned to think of him as family and promises to protect him. Almost every day until she was 11, her day was: Go to school, go to the church, clean up sidewalks and inside the building, go back home, finish home work, go to bed. Her life changed when one day, she met up with a wizard named Jade. The moment these two met, they didn’t exactly get along. In fact, he annoyed her so much that she accidentally lit the broom on fire. Anise had no idea what happened and thought Jade was an evil being. She demanded that he leave the church but, instead, he told her that she was a witch. Of course she didn’t believe that.

After her birthday, something unusual happened. Something had annoyed Anise so greatly that it burned something in her room and she didn't realize her parents saw what happened. At first, Anise thought that her parents would abandon her because they were religious but she was wrong. They said they were family and they're going to stay that way. Having no idea where to turn for money, she did some odd jobs for a while until she had some money from unexpected source. Anise wondered who it was for a while but ,as long as she's not paying it back, she's fine with it. For the first 3 years of her life, she attended a different wizarding school until she heard about a place called Hogwarts. Wanting to make her parents proud, she decided to transfer over there. Now, she's finishing her finals at her old school and waiting to see the results.

Personality
Never judge a book by its cover is what would describe Anise. While she is energetic, eccentric, and mischievous, she makes people seem like she's a meek little girl who continually dotes on people especially the rich young men. Since she comes from a poor family, she is quite a determined to marry into the rich so she can save her parents from debt. However, she doesn't let people know about the last part and , as a result, people would think she's a selfish girl who goes by her own needs. (Of course Anise likes money, she just wants to help her parents) Despite her outer appearances, Anise is quite a strong little girl. After she was thrown off of the Tartarus, kind of a ship that runs on land, the others asked if she was okay. In which, Jade and Ion, the person she's protecting, said that she's going to be fine, “she is Anise after all.” She probably curses a lot when no one is looking and ,thus, has a very bad temper. She said “I'll kill you bastards!” after being thrown off.

Anise is a lover of teasing people and does whatever she feels like. She knows that Guy, another one of her comrades, is afraid of women and decides to help Jade with poking him until it goes away. When Luke said that she just learned to cook, she didn't give him food until he begs for it. Another example would when Natalia was sad that Asch was a better cook than her, Anise replied ,by using Asch's voice, that he'll always protect her and continued teasing until it angered the boy.

Anise is still a little girl but she has a lot of things to carry on her shoulders. Being a younger fon master guardian, she probably had to kill a lot of people by the time she hit thirteen. Not only that, she had to protect Ion and play as a spy for Mohs so he wouldn't harm her parents. After he died, she went to battle with Arietta alone. When her friends said that they'll with her, she said that it was her responsibility. Of course, they disagreed and went with her anyway.

Be wary though, Anise can be a nasty person. She isn't afraid to be harsh, cynical, and even blunt when the time calls for it. After Luke destroyed a city, she asked why was he here and that he could sleep forever if he wanted to. As stated before, Anise does have a temper so watch out.

However, Anise isn't a bad person. She's the type of girl who does whatever she feels like and always speaks on her mind.
